The Construction Specialist is responsible for assisting in general construction duties. This may include, but not limited to construction of Habitat homes, cleaning of sites, delivering tools and supplies to job sites, maintaining Habitat properties, and other duties as assigned.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Working with Construction staff and volunteers in the construction and rehab of Habitat homes

  2. Assist staff and lead volunteers in repairs and warranty work

  3. Ensuring Habitat job sites are clean and clear of hazards and risks at the end of the workday.

  4. Ensuring job sites and Habitat property are secured at the end of the workday (i.e. lock doors, turn off lights, lock gates, lock dump trailers, etc)

  5. Coordinate with staff and volunteers to ensure the necessary tools and supplies are at the job sites in a timely fashion, also keeping up with the tools and supplies inventory

  6. Use equipment and tools in a safe and proper way in order to complete tasks.

  7. Assist in the upkeep of the Habitat property and the Habitat vacant lots (i.e. cutting grass, weeding, removal of debris and trash).


Job Type: Full-time

  • Schedule: Tue – Sat, some nights and weekends

  • Work Location: Across Madison County
